Terms & Conditions of Sale

When you place an order on our website you are accepting our Terms & Conditions of Sale.

Purchasing

We will need your name, address, email address, credit/debit card number & card expiry date to process your order. You will be asked to give your CVV via the secure Stripe site. A contact telephone number is useful in case we need to contact you about your order. You have the option to have your purchase(s) delivered to a different address. When your purchase has been processed, we will notify you of receipt of your order & you will be able to check that all the details are correct. When your order has been posted we will let you know by email.

Payment

Payment for all orders is at point of sale and not at point of despatch. Delivery to UK mainland is included in all quoted postage prices. By entering card details onto our system, you confirm that the credit/debit card is yours and that you are over 18. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. We reserve the right to reject any offer of purchase by anyone at any time. We do not store your credit/debit card details. This information is processed securely by Stripe. Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1 which is the highest grade of payment processing security.

Delivery

As soon as your request has been processed, we will inform the relevant maker. Sussex Guild members are based in studios & workshops in South East UK and they will post your order to you direct. We aim to dispatch all orders within 2-3 working days, but delivery times may take longer due to the current Covid-19 situation. If the item is collection only, the maker will make arrangements direct with you. For delivery outside the UK, please initially email us with your interest to purchase so we can provide you with an inclusive price. If you need something by a given date please email us & we will do our best to help you.

Product Pricing & Descriptions

All prices are set by Sussex Guild Members themselves, in £ sterling. The work is not mass-produced so slight variations in design & colour are possible.

Cancellation

You’re entitled to cancel a purchase. This must be within 14 days of receiving your purchase. You will be given a full refund, which includes any initial postage charge. Please see our Returns Section below for more details. If you wish to cancel prior to despatch, please contact us asap. If your order has already been despatched please follow the procedure set out in our Returns Policy.

Returns and Refunds

If you wish to return an item & seek a refund you need to let us know within 14 days of its receipt. We can only accept returns from the person who bought the item. If you wish to return an item, please email us with your order details and also let us know why you are returning an item – this is not obligatory but the feedback will be useful to us. For reasons of hygiene, some items cannot be returned e.g. Earrings that arrive in sealed packaging and you have broken the seal. It will be made clear if this is the case.

Upon informing us that you wish to return an item, you will be sent the return address & information about how to proceed.

The item must be returned in its original condition (ideally in its original packaging) within 14 working days of the date you received instructions on how to return your item. The refund will include the original delivery charge but we are unable to offer free returns.

However, if you’re returning a product because it is faulty, we will pay the return delivery costs.

We recommend using an insured method of despatch with proof of posting as we cannot accept liability for returned items lost or damaged in transit.

Privacy Policy

We take your personal privacy seriously and will not sell, distribute or disclose information about you (unless approved by you or unless we are required to do so by law). If you place an order with us, your payment details are processed securely by Stripe. Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1 which is the highest grade of payment processing security. When you place your order, you will be asked to provide your name, address, email address & telephone number (optional) and a name & address for delivery.  This together any message(s) you leave will be forwarded to the maker of the item for the purpose of fulfilling your order.
